The funeral was held at the lovely Hammondsport United Methodist Church. It is a small traditional church near downtown Hammondsport, NY.  The service was held in the sanctuary, lead by Pastor Paul Rowley.  During the service, Jeanette's family members, (father Mike Staman including a poem from mother Louise Staman, sisters Laura and Karen Staman, and cousin Erin (Eckert) Strouse) paid tribute, along with Jeanette's friends.  The organist played opening music as well as hymns "Thy Word" and "Hymn of Promise", numbers 601 and 707 in the Methodist hymnal.  Following the service there was a reception in the downstairs fellowship hall where the church volunteers put on a comforting homemade luncheon.  The entire church staff was very welcoming and accommodating.
